Allie Cole Bickley Pearce, 88, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 19, 2008.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 26, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m.
She was born Aug. 27, 1920, and grew up near Farmersville. She married Milton Cole in 1941 and together they raised two children, Joe and Dianne in Greenville. Both children and Milton preceded her in death.
In 1978, she married Clarence Pearce whom she was devoted to until his death in 2001. She was a lifelong active member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church, having taught children in Sunday School for many years. He was a former Hunt County treasurer from 1979 until she retired in 1992.
She is survived by a sister, Sally Goodman of Grapevine, and brothers, Robert Bickley of Red Oak; Henry Bickley of Bossier City, La., and Jim Bickley of Austin.
In addition to her husband and children, she is also preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Eufaula Ailes and Ella Mercado and four brothers, W.R. Bickley Jr., Charles F. Bickley, Rankin Bickley, and David Ray Bickley.
She will always be remembered for her enduring devotion to her Lord and to her family. The family requests that memorials be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Pallbearers will be Jay Boshart, John Ballard, James Shuler, and J.W. Housewright.
