He had a work ethic that is difficult at best to find in this day and age and he instilled that in his family and his coworkers. He was a man of his word – honesty, integrity and hard work defined him. His vast knowledge about any variety of topics would astound most people and his willingness to always lend a helping hand to those in need will always be remembered by those who love him. As a jack of all trades, he could fix almost anything electrical or mechanical, grow an amazing garden, rebuild an engine, weld, hunt, fish, build a house, perfectly manicure the lawn, pour concrete, play softball in the backyard, shoot hoops in the driveway, build a go-cart, play Barbies and baby-dolls, and tell a bedtime Bear Story that would entertain any age.
Of all the things that he knew how to do so well, what he did best was love and take care of his family. He spent so much of his time making sure that everyone was taken care of. This love and compassion extended to well beyond just his family. Anyone who spent time in his home, knew this love. He was an encourager, a selfless giver, and a role model for anyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
