Charles Baer, 81, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Friday, August 12, 2016.
Born in Kansas City, Missouri on October 21, 1934.
He attended the Salvation Army from the age of seventeen and entered full-time Salvation Army ministry, where he served in various communities across the Midwest alongside his wife, Joyce Baer, until his retirement in 1991.
His interests included steam engines, tall ships and TV Guide crossword puzzles.
He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Joyce Baer. Charles is survived by daughter Rae Lynette Baer; son Gary Douglas Baer and daughter-in-law Pamela Sue (Harrington) Baer; granddaughter Amarinda Kaitlyn Baer; several cousins, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at New Hope Church of the Nazarene, 4330 N. Oak Trafficway, Kansas City, Missouri 64116. Private burial of ashes in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to their Go Fund Me account.
