Charles married the love of his life SuZanne Robinson at the Bokchito Church of Christ on June 24, 1961. He had a full life and enjoyed many things during his lifetime, the quiet solitude of a horseback ride, the freedom of the road riding his motorcycle, a good game of golf or tennis and the skill of archery and hunting. He loved his family and the times they spent together, but he especially looked forward to watching his grandchildren compete in their sporting activities.
Mr. Akins is survived by his beloved wife, SuZanne of the home, son, Brian Akins and wife Marianne of Hartshorne, Oklahoma, grandchildren, Brianna Akins and Page Akins of Bokchito, Oklahoma, Brett Akins of Hartshorne, Oklahoma, Madison Akins of Bokchito, Oklahoma and Tyler Akins of Hartshorne, Oklahoma and sister, LaNell Dollins of Watauga, Texas.
Mr. Akins was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Juanita Akins, son, Keith Akins and brother, Ronnie Akins.
A church service in honor of his memory will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 13 at the Bokchito Church of Christ in Bokchito with Mr. John Frank officiating. Burial will follow at the Bokchito Cemetery.
Services under the direction of Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home, Durant, Oklahoma.
