Clara E. Clements 91 of Farmville retired VDOT employee passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016. She was employed by the Virginia Dept. of Transportation as a senior secretary for 46 ½ years.
She was a member of Olive Branch United Methodist Church where she had served as Sunday school superintendent, Sunday school teacher, president of the United Methodist Women, member of the choir and secretary and treasurer of the Cemetery Association.
She attended Prospect High School and graduated from Farmville High School and attended State Teachers College (now Longwood University) in Farmville VA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George C. Clements and Vernelle Price Clements and a sister, Mary C. Noblin.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Lula Brisentine of California and Raymond Agee of Dillwyn, VA a loving and faithful friend, and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 1:00PM in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home with interment to follow in Westview Cemetery. Family will receive friends starting at 12:00Noon in funeral home one hour prior to service.
