Jeri was born in Salem to Edna and Frank Dick. She lived most of her life in Gresham and was a 1950 graduate from Gresham High School. She was married to Lee Akins from 1959 until his death in 1999. They had two children, Mindy Harris and Corey Akins; and three grandchildren. Jeri had one brother, Mike Samples. In 2006, she married Larry Berglund. Jeri was artistic, musical and an excellent cook. She was very active in the Gresham Elks and just loved life. Her life will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016, at Gresham Memorial Chapel, with a reception to follow at Gresham Elks Lodge. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
