Mary Aline “Georgie” Cunningham, age 83 of Hiawassee, GA, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015. She was born to the late George and Margie (Caver) Buchanan on February 19, 1932 in Newland, NC. Georgie was a lifelong member of Old Brasstown Baptist Church. She married Von in 1948 and they were married for 54 years. She was an animal lover; taking in stray cats and feeding birds to the point they would eat out of her hand. Georgie loved to garden; she enjoyed her plants and flowers.
Georgie was preceded in death by her husband Von Cunningham; brothers, Alford Buchanan, Dayton Buchanan, and Elbert Buchanan, sister; Irene Buchanan.
