He married Sarah Lucinda Nancy Caroline Chambers February 9, 1909 in Laclede Co., Missouri with no known children. He then married Nancy Ella Brewer September 8, 1915 in Laclede Co., Missouri. They subsequently divorced with one known child. He committed suicide using a shotgun.
