Hiram "Hi" Jackson Hamilton, 92, of Bay died Sunday August 7, 2016 at Methodist University in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born in Cash on July 8, 1924 to the late James Edward "Ed" and Cora Jane Cureton. Hiram lived in Bay for the past 65 years after coming from Cash and the Lake City areas.

He was retired from Bay Public Schools as a Bus driver for 48 years, and farming early on in his life. He was also a veteran of the Bay Volunteer Fire Department and served as the Fire Chief for many years. Hiram was a long time member of the Bay Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Wanda Lou Kissinger Hamilton in 1966 and his wife Virgie Ellen Farley Hamilton in 1996, step son, Jim Farley, two sisters, and two brothers.

He is survived by four daughters: Linda Lou(Jerry) Watts of Jonesboro, Dawniel McGuire of Memphis, Tabitha(Matt) Byrd of Pocahontas, and Heidi(Justin) Napolitano Windermere, Florida; five sisters: Bobbie Harrison,, Greathel Turner, Annie Rasome all of Jonesboro, Betty Spencer of Bay, and Brittie Mckinney of Rockford, Ill; Grandchildren: Christina Hester, Sally Reynolds, Jimmy Farley, Caleb Farley, Madison Byrd, Hayden Byrd, Sydney Shoemaker, Jaz Napolitano, and Leo Napolitano; great- grandchildren: Olivia Hester, Ryder Ray Reynolds, Easton Farley, Judah Farley, and Asher Farley; and nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors.

A visitation will be from 5-7 pm Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Emerson Funeral Home. A second visitation will be from 10 till 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Bay Church of Christ. Funeral service will be 11 am Wednesday, August 10 at Bay Church of Christ with Marvin Rickett and Bobby Lee Baker officiating and David Byrd as the song director. Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers will include: Donnie Davis, Henry Rogers, Wayne Roland, Derrick Mink, Brandon Mink, and David Byrd.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Members of Bay Church of Christ.
