Mrs. Joan Anderson "Granna" Denton age 81 of Quebeck, formerly of Lebanon went home to be with the Lord Sunday evening August 7, 2016.

Mrs. Denton was born June 2, 1935 in the Big Bottom Community of White County. She and her late husband Martin Nelson Denton owned Denton Auto Electric in Sparta and Lebanon. Her faith along with her family were very important and dear to her, she was a member of the Oasis Church. Granna was also a musician, she played the guitar, the Upright Bass and enjoyed bluegrass music. In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by her brother Charles "Sonny" Anderson.

She is survived by her two sons: Marty Denton and wife Sherry of Lebanon, Tracey Denton and wife Sonya of Quebeck

Grandchildren: Jonathan Denton, Jared Denton, Tanya Burns, Hope Johnson

Great-grandchildren: Emily Notgrass, Brooklyn Denton, Briley Denton and Brayton Johnson

Two sisters: Janet Tinsley and husband Kirk, Connie George and husband Billy

Brother-in-law: Douglas Dean Denton and wife Reba Sue of Quebeck

Nieces: Kimberly Shiver, Susan Austin, Linda Denton and Christi Denton

Nephews: Shay Tinsley and Chris George

Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday August 10, 2016 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-8:00pm at Hunter Funeral Home. Steve Breedlove will officiate.
