After retiring from Joe Richardson Insurance, she and David enjoyed traveling, helping others in their community, spending time with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They could often be found at most any Mustang sporting event or any event involving their grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her only son, David Rodney Black, Jr; her parents; mother-in-law, Ethel Wallace Black; brothers-in-law, Arthur Doddridge and Wayne Beals.
