Donald was born in Personville, Texas, to the late James Moses and Martha Carter Dockery. He has lived in Limestone County his entire life. Donald was a mechanic for Limestone County Road and Bridge Department for 16 years, prior to retiring.
Donald was a loving husband, father and grandfather; enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a hard worker and an honest man.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lanette Dockery; brothers, Ronald and James Dockery; sisters: Hazel Parsons, Ruth Simone, Jo Ann McMahon, Mary Ferguson, Edith Hammonds, and Frances Ferguson.
Survivors include his wife, Minnie Ola Dockery, of Mexia; sons, Donald W. Dockery, of Waco, and Kenneth C. Dockery, of Dayton; daughters, Tammy Price and husband, Darrell, of Teague, and Teresa Little and husband, Randy, of Groesbeck; three grandsons; two granddaughters; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Benjiman Dockery; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
