Memphis, TN - Bernice Abrams passed away peacefully on August 1st just 49 days shy of her 100th birthday. Widow of Albert, she left behind her daughter Karen Malkin, her son Billy (Sardou) and his wife Patti Abrams, her granddaughter Liza Malkin, grandson Adam Malkin and his wife Lyric and a soon to arrive great grandchild. She also chose to embrace at least 7 others as 'sons and daughters'. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Soloman and Sophia Abrahams and sister to Debbie, Wilbur and Sardou, she moved to Memphis in 1946 where she lived until 2015, when she moved to South Florida. She had a great passion for life, loved golf, tennis, the theatre and ballet and especially the piano. A concert pianist and composer, she did a weekly program on WHK Radio in Cleveland with her dad and sister before she was 10. She played for several ballet companies including the International Ballet Competition. Her split pea soup and cheese blintze recipes are sought after to this day. Family was everything to Bernice and she was everything to her family. She will be sadly missed by many but forgotten by none. A private service was held in Florida.
