Thomas H. Murray
Thomas H. Murray Sr., 78, 125 Academy Way, retired Civil Service employee, died Saturday at his home after a short illness.
Born in Ridgeway, he was the son of the at M. Logan and Edith Robinson Murray. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, where he served on the Board of Stewards and as chairman of the church building committee. He was a veteran of WWI an served as state quartermaster, post commander and historian and was a life member of Barracks 810 of the Veterans of WWI.
Surviving are his widow, Junie Addison Murray; a son, Thomas H. Murray Jr. of Walterboro, and four sisters and six brothers.
Services will be at 4:30 p.m. today at Bethel United Methodist Church. Dunbar Funeral Home is in charge.
