She was born February 9, 1933 in Venice, IL to Bernard Anthony Ritz and Edna Mary Culp.
She married Bobby Jeann Watkins on July 12, 1952 at St. Marks Church in Venice, Illinois. He died May 11, 1994.
She attended St. Marks Grade School and graduated from Venice High School with the Class of 1954. She played clarinet in the high school band and was a soloist in the high school chorus. She later earned a Degree from Browns Business College in speed writing.
Shirley was a member of St. John Paul II previously Church of The Ascension; a member of the Church Choir, Church Quilters and The Altar and Rosary Society.
She was self employed doing Income Taxes from 1994 until retiring in 2005 and was previously employed by Gebco Machine Co. in Granite City, Illinois from 1953 to 1994.
Survivors include 1 Brother Robert (Patricia) Ritz; 2 Sisters Jeannette Flannery and Evelyn R. Ritz; 1 Sister-in-Law Barbara Ritz/
She was preceded in death by husband: Bobby Jeann Watkins; parents Bernard A. & Edna Mary Culp Ritz; 2 Brothers, Charles & Bernard Ritz.
