Kenneth A. Beckner 68, of Arlington, passed away August 3, 2016 at Rush Memorial Hospital.

He was born November 16, 1947 in Shelbyville, a son of the late William H. & Willetta R. (Winkler) Beckner. He was married to Pam Swain Nov. 27, 1971 at the Arlington Christian Church and she survives him.

He graduated from Arlington High School in 1966 where he was know for his passion for basketball. Kenneth served in the Air Force from 1967-71 and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. He retired in 1999 from General Motors in Anderson, IN after 32 years of service. He was a member of Farm Bureau, American Legion Post 102 and the Arlington Christian Church.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Pam of Arlington; daughter Debbie Beckner of Arlington; son Doug (Sandy) Beckner of Decatur, IN; three grandsons Nick, Ben & Johnny Beckner; one brother Bill (Carole) Beckner of Arlington; sister Goldie Hutchinson of Hinton,WV and sister-in-law Kathy Sullivan of Littleton, CO.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Malcolm.

A Celebration of Life Service with Military Honors will be 10 AM Monday, Aug. 8th at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory with Warren Engel officiating. Burial will be at the Arlington East Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 6 PM Sunday, Aug. 7th at the funeral center.

Memorials may be made to the Rush County Community Foundation Harold & Frances Clifton scholarship fund for agriculture 117 N. Main Rushville, In 46173.
