Nichols, Iowa July 25 --
Frank Stafford who died July 6th 1911, at Hot Springs, Ark., was born in Huntsville Co., Ohio, on 3rd day of July 1852. He was the second son of Wm. and Hester Stafford, of West Liberty, Iowa He came to this country with his parents in 1854 at theage of three years, the family locating near West Liberty. March 22, 1886 he was married to Miss Lizzie Russel of La Coygan, Kansas, at Texarkana, Ark.
The deceased was a member of the Elpaso lodge No.130 A.F. and A. M. also O. R. C. Lodge Division 69 of Elpaso, that place being his home for the past 16 years. He was survivied by his widow Mrs. Lizzie Stafford and one daughter Mrs. Nina Tompkins, of Elpaso, Texas and also three sisters Mrs. M. M. Adams of Nichols, Iowa, and Mrs. Mary Laudy of Moline, Ill., and two brothers, Charles Stafford of Garber Tenn., and Albert of Hollywood, Cal. The deceased had been a sufferer for many years but when the end came it was a shock to all.
The funeral services were held at the home of his sister Mrs. Elizabeth Poole, conducted by Rev., Richardson of the M. E. Church of Nichols and also by the Masonic order of Nichols, and West Liberty. Interment took place at the West Liberty cemetery, the Pall bearers were: L. B. Smith, E. J. Stafford, B. L. Metcalf, Wm. Schmith, J. W. Rummels and R. T. Shannon. The floral offerings were beautiful.
