Vidalia - Mr. Jonathan G. Shivers, age 34, of Vidalia, died Monday, August 1, 2106 in the Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia, after a sudden illness. He was a lifelong resident of Vidalia, a 2000 graduate of Vidalia High School, and was a graduate of Southeastern Technical College with an Electrical Degree. He worked as an electrician and was a cook all of his life, and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He played the acoustic guitar, and enjoyed music. He was preceded in death by his parents, Greg L. "Preacher Greg" Shivers and Janis Bishop Shivers.

Jonathan is survived by his fiancée, Lisa Oliver of Vidalia; two brothers, Jake Shivers and wife Laura of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Andy Shivers and wife Nekki of Powder Springs; three step-children, Skye, Lucas, and Landon Oliver; and four nephews, Julian, Ethan, Bishop, and Ezra.

The funeral service will be held Friday, August 5th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Owen Waters officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday afternoon from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
