Services for Edna May Walter, 65, of Sterling Heights, MI will be 1 P.M. Tuesday Nov 21, 1972 at the Kaul Funeral Home, with her son, Robert A Leidy, pastor of bible Baptist Church of Hallifax, Nova Scotia officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Detroit.
Mrs. Walter died Saturday, Nov 18, 1972 at the Lakeside General Hospital, Detroit. She was born Dec. 25, 1906 in Nelsonville, OH.
Mrs. Walter is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Jack (Frances) Bennett of Nashville, TN, Mrs. Ed (Shirley) Noreus of Roseville, and Mrs. Dolores DiMaggio of Sterling Heights: two sons, Rev Robert Leidy of Hallifax, Nova Scotia and Richard Leidy of New Baltimore: three sisters, Mrs. Ruth DeWitt of Mount Clemens, Mrs. Elizabeth House of Spruce and Mrs. Cary Winchell of Nelsonville, OH: 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Edna May married Chester Reeves in 1923 and had one daughter, Frances May. They later divorced and she married Earl Leidy in 1928. She and Earl had four children, Shirley, Dolores, Robert and Richard. This marriage also ended in divorce.
