James "Jim" Denton Murff died peacefully at home on July 29, 2016 in Houston, TX at the age of 69.Jim was born on October 8, 1946 in Ennis, TX to William and Dixie Murff. He graduated from Ennis High School in 1965, The University of Texas in 1969, St. Mary's Law School 1973 and passed the Texas State Bar in 1974. He married Susan Mathews of San Antonio in 1973. Jim retired from American Airlines after 26 years, then worked for the Houston Airport System for 11 years. In retirement, he continued with private consulting. Jim is survived by his wife of 43 years, Susan Murff, son Christopher (Casye), two grandchildren Caden and Cameron, daughter Christi, all residing in Houston. Also survived by his brother, Ronald (Cheryl) Murff of Dallas, TX who gave us many more memories with Jim thanks to Ron's kidney donation. Jim's selfless spirit and dedication to his family will be dearly missed by all. Services will be held at Mission Burial Park Dominion North Fred Tips Mausoleum Chapel; 20900 I H 10 West, San Antonio, TX 78257 Friday, August 5, 2016 at 11 AM.
