Ms. Wilma Rose Rivera passed away on Monday, August 1, 2016 at her residence. Age 69 years. She was born on July 29, 1947 in Saginaw, Michigan to Mary Stroik and Walter Dreffs, Sr.
Wilma was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan for many years. She was of the Catholic faith. Wilma attended Saginaw Public Schools. She was employed as lunch aide at Jessie Rouse School. She enjoyed playing bingo and card games. Wilma also loved spending time with her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Wilma leaves to cherish her memory four daughters, Connie Williams of Muskegon, Michigan, Rachel Medina, Rose Rivera and Gloria Rivera all of Saginaw, Michigan; four sons, Robert Rivera, Sr., of Saginaw, Michigan, Steven Cordova, Las Vegas, Nevada and Filomeno Rivera, Jr. and Gilbert Rivera of Saginaw, Michigan; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Susan Heath and Rose Dreffs of Saginaw, Michigan, Diane Kane of Mio, Michigan; one brother, Albert Karpuck, Saginaw, Michigan; many nieces, nephews and cousins; one sister-in-law, Mary Castaneda of Indianapolis, Indiana; one brother-in-law, Pete Rivera, Saginaw, Michigan; many other relatives and friends; very special friends, Pete Martinez, Nancy Martinez, Salome Martinez, and Lexie Campbell, all of Saginaw, Michigan.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Filomeno Rivera, Sr., daughters, Rita Gomez, Teresa Soto and Celia Rivera; one son, Antonio Rivera; two grandsons, David Rivera and Nicholas Soto, Sr.; great grandson, Adam Soto; her parents and grandparents; mother-in-law, Mary Rivera and father-in-law, Gregorio Rivera.
