Funeral services for Joseph R. Daniels , 50, Everglades commercial fisherman, will be held this afternoon from the Earl G. Hodges Funeral Chapel in Naples. Rev. T.J. Wells, pastor of the Church of God of Chokoloskee, officiated. Interment was in Naples Memorial Gardens.
Daniels died Saturday morning in the Sanai Hospital in Miami Beach. Born on Fakahatchee Island, he had lived in the Everglades area most of his life. He is survived by his widow, of Everglades: three brothers, Louis of Everglades, and John and J.P. Brown, both of Naples; and seven sisters, Mrs. boss Brown, Mrs. Doris Hurley, Mrs. Pleamon Brown, Miss Pleany Daniels, Mrs. Joyce Williams, Miss. Ruth Daniels, and Miss Vernell Daniels, all of Naples. Pallbearers were Adolph Stokes, Harold ( Jiggs) Brown, Vernon Goff, Clifton Goff, Wayland Demere and Dalton Demere.
