She must have married Amos Brown later?

Elizabeth and Amos married 17 March 1788 in Licola, North Carolina. Amos was in the Revolutionary War serving in North Carolina. He received a pension for his service from North Carolina. After he passed she received a rejection letter from Macon, North Carolina, stating she need to provide a copy of there marriage license.
I believe two different Elizabeth Brown's have been mixed up. One with connections from Macon, Georgia, and mine from Lincoln / Cherokee/ Ashville North Carolina.
