Anderson, Barbara Fay, 73, died Aug. 1. Graveside services 2 p.m. Wednesday, Old Velma Cemetery, Velma (Bill Eisenhour SE, Del City).

Barbara Fay Anderson, 73, passed away on August 1, 2016. She was born on April 15, 1943 in Duncan, OK to Joseph Clinton and Eliza Violet (Jones) Whisenhunt.

Barbara was a very independent woman in which her motto was "If I can't fix it, it doesn't need to be fixed." She enjoyed any type of crafting: bead work, crocheting, sewing, painting, and she loved spending time in her garden and with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; children Rebecca and Linda Lee; and eight siblings. Survivors include her children, John Lee and wife, Darla, Amber Smith; grandchildren, Michelle Stauffer and husband, JJ, Angela Santos and husband, Marcio, Michael and Taylor Smith; step granddaughter, Michelle Tye; great-grandchildren, Emily and Parker Stauffer, Joseph Santos; brother, Don Whisenhunt; and her beloved pets, Billy, Bob and Lula Bell.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Midwest City Animal Welfare Shelter, 7221 NE 36th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73141. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at the Velma Cemetery, Velma, OK. Condolences may be offered at www.eisenhourfuneral.com
