Elsie J. Ace, 87, of Phillipsburg, NJ passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at St. Luke's University Hospital in Bethlehem, PA. Born: Elsie was born in Harmony Township, NJ on January 11, 1926 to the late Edgar A. and Violet May Walter Searles. Personal: Elsie was a homemaker and at one time worked for JCP&L. She was a 1943 graduate of Phillipsburg High School. Memberships: Elsie was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Phillipsburg and the Sertoma Club of Easton, PA. She enjoyed Counted Cross Stitch.
Survivors: Elsie is survived by a son, Jon G. Ace and his companion Pamela Willson of Changewater, NJ; daughters, Karen J. Mills and her husband, Tony of Phillipsburg, Gale R. Ace of Phillipsburg, and Amy L. Weigand and her husband Michael of Lopatcong Township, NJ ; grandchildren, Kyle and Kelsey; nieces, Cassandra L. Place and her husband, Horton, Bridget Kurts, Judi, Jeri, and Joni; nephew Guy Kurts. She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon R. Ace; brother, Harold Searles; sister Grace Kaulius; sister-in-law Joyce Kurts; brother-in-law Robert Kurts. Burial will be held in Northampton Memorial Shrine; Palmer Township, PA.
