Mrs. Yates died on at Trinity Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, AL . She was born in Morgan County to Hollis Lee Alvis and Esther Dora Wilhite. She worked in the King Edward Cigar Company and Prestolite, working in their production departments, prior to her retirement. Verdi was a Master Gardener and a member of the Wildflower Society. She loved to travel with the Cullman Senior Spirit Group. She was preceded in death by her husband Therman Lois Yates and her parents.
