Lucy O'Neal Klepfer, 97, of Sylvester, and formerly of Tifton, died Monday, August 01, 2016 at Pine Shadows Too.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Tifton. The Rev. Earnie Pirkle will officiate.

Mrs. Klepfer was born in Pelham on July 26, 1919 to the late Dr. John Robert and Lucy Bassett O'Neal. She lived in Pelham before moving to Ocilla after her marriage. Mrs. Klepfer moved to Tifton in 1963 where she remained until moving to Sylvester in 2012. She attended the Georgia State College for Women and worked as a kindergarten teacher in Ocilla before becoming an antiques dealer. In addition to being devoted to her family, Mrs. Klepfer enjoyed reading, oil painting, and genealogy. She was active in the community as member of the Tift Garden Club, the Tift Chapter of DAR, and the First United Methodist Church of Tifton.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Klepfer was preceded in death by her husbands, James Wooten O'Neal on October 20, 1985, and Harlan A Klepfer on May 23, 2011; a son, John Robert O'Neal; and a sister, Elizabeth Upchurch.
