Larry R. Armstrong, age 73, of Columbiaville died July 30, 2016 at Genesys Medical Center.

Larry was born January 15, 1943 in Yale, the son of the late Raymond and Ethel (Ross) Armstrong. He graduated from Lapeer High School Class of 1961, and Michigan State University.

Larry served his country honorably in the United States Army. He had several jobs when he returned home, working for Coulter Sales and Services, and later he started Armstrong Trucking in 1994. He enjoyed playing golf with friends, spending his winters in Florida, and watching the Detroit Tiger’s games in Lakeland.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Armstrong; grandson, Mason; sister, Joanie Loree; nephew, Ron Loree; niece, Angie Loree; great-niece Khloe Rae; special friend Donna Dubay; and many other good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Ethel.

Funeral Service Thursday 11:30 AM at Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville​ where friends may visit Tuesday 3:30-9 PM, and Wednesday 3-9 PM. Pastor Roger Keur officiating. Interment Oregon Township Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in memory of Larry may me made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
