William S. Flatt, 82, of Spencer, Tennessee passed away January 22, 2007, at White County Community Hospital. He had been a self-employed mechanic and was a member of the Baptist Church. He had served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Flatt was preceded in death by his parents, William 'Logan' Flatt and Lora Mae Hale Flatt; one son, James Dillard Flatt; and two brothers,
Robert L. Flatt and John Flatt. His Survivors include his beloved wife,
Dorotha M. Simmons Flatt; four daughters, Carolyn King, Wanda and husband David Hill, all of Davidson County, Ann Taylor, of Van Buren County, and
Eunice Sparkman, of Warren County; one brother, Lee and Mary Flatt, of
Van Buren County; and two grandchildren, Heather and her husband Brian Ullig, of Davidson County, and Rhonda Sparkman, of Warren County.
Services were held on January 24, 2007, at the Spencer Funeral Home of
Love-Cantrell-Cope, with burial in Town Cemetery. Tom Farmer officiated.
Military rites by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
