WILSON -- Services for Mildred Viola Sanders, 86, will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006, in the Wilson Assembly of God Church with the Rev. David Sanders and the Rev. Virgil Ridenour officiating. Interment will follow in Hewitt Cemetery under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home, Wilson.

Born Jan. 14, 1920, to James Milton Holoway and Idella Stewart Holoway south of Wilson, she died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2006, in a Wilson nursing center. She married Leonard Woodrow Sanders on Dec. 16, 1939, in Wilson. He preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Harve, Walter, Albert "Boodle" and Buddy; sisters, Audrey Brawley, Opal Alexander and Belle Bromlow.

Born at the old farm south of Wilson, she was raised there and attended Byron Red School. After her marriage to Leonard, they moved to Sunray, Texas, where Leonard worked for Diamond Shamrock. After his retirement in 1980, they returned to Wilson to enjoy their retirement and had been there since.

She was a devoted homemaker to her husband and children, and since returning to Wilson in 1980 had been a very strong, active supporter and member of the Wilson Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include her two daughters, Barbara Daly, Donna, Texas and Maxine Stephens, Lefors, Texas; three sons, Don Sanders, Fort Gibson, Gary and Harold Sanders, both of Wilson; numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Pall bearers will be Royce Sanders, Robbie Sanders, John Sanders, Tim Sanders, Gary Don Sanders and Wayland Alexander. Honorary bearers will be Terry Bromlow, Gene Brawley and Enoch Taylor.

Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Wilson.
