OAK RIDGE - Mrs. George F. Volz of Oak Ridge, died at 2 this morning in a Cape Girardeau hospital after being a patient there since Thursday. She was 74 years old.
Mrs. Volz, the former Miss Asher, was born April 9, 1898, at Princeton, Ky., and was married on Aug. 25, 1917, at Canalou, to Mr. Volt, who survives.
They lived in the Canalou community until 1933, moving to Oak Ridge. She was a member of the Oak Ridge Baptist Church.
Surviving are three sons, G. E. Volt, Cape Girardeau, E. E. Volz, Oak Ridge, and Calvin E. Volz, Lutesville, seven daughters, Mrs. E. W. Sawyer, Chugiak, Alaska, Mrs. Gifford Riebold, Mrs. J. P. Daniels, and Mrs. Charles Wilson, all of Oak Ridge, Mrs. Charles McCanless, Hooper, Neb., and Mrs. Bill Hargraves and Mrs. Ralph Morton, both of Jackson; three brothers, H. E. Asher, Parma, Elbert Asher, Elsinore, and Ura Asher, Windfall, Ind.; a sister, Miss Julie Asher, Parma; and 26 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons and two daughters.
Funeral services are tentatively set for Wednesday afternoon at 2 at the Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson. The Rev. Ernest Punch of Jackson will officiate and burial is to be in Memorial Park, Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 Tuesday afternoon.

OAK RIDGE-Funeral services for Mrs. George F. Volz will be held Wednesday afternoon at the Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson.
The Rev. Ernest Lee of Chaffee will conduct the services and burial is to be in Memorial Park, Cape Girardeau.
Mrs. Volz died early Monday morning.
