Junior Arthel Davidson, 91, of Stanford, KY passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016 at VA Medical Center in Lexington, KY. Born October 30, 1924 in Lincoln County, KY, he was the son of the late John and Margaret Woods Davidson. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, and was a farmer and self-employed plumber and heating and air technician for most of his life. He was also a member and former deacon of Fairview Baptist Church.Survivors include his wife of 73 years; Lois Davidson, four sons; Terry Davidson, Jerry Davidson (Giggie), Monte Davidson (Connie), and Jeff Davidson (Pat) all of Stanford, KY, two daughters; Diane Playforth of Lancaster, KY, and Brenda Rice (Paul) of Waynesburg, KY, one brother; R.L. Davidson of Stanford, KY, three sisters; Wanda Hale of Lancaster, KY, Willene Walls of McKinney, KY, and Deva Ramsey of Clarksville, IN, 13 grandchildren, his great-grandchildren, and his great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.Visitation will be Friday, July 29, 2016 from 5-9pm at Fairview Baptist Church in Waynesburg, KY. Funeral service will be 1pm Saturday, July 30, 2016 with Reverends Chester Cornett and Johnny Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. Casket bearers will be his grandsons.
