The death of George W. Stansell occurred last Saturday night at his home in this village, aged 80 years. He had been in failing health for several years, but suffered a stroke of paralysis on Saturday and lived about an hour afterward. He was the last survivor of a family of twelve children being the youngest of the family. He came here from North Wolcott about forty years ago and conducted a blacksmith shop until his health began to decline. The survivors are a daughter, Mrs. James L. Wadsworth with whom he resided; a son, Newton Stansell of Syracuse and two step sons, George Ball Sr. of North Rose and Charles Ball of Michigan. The funeral was held at 10:30 a.m. from the home, Wednesday with Interment in the North Wolcott Cemetery.
