James Crosby “Jimmy” Melton passed away on July 18, 2016. He was born in Norfolk, VA July 13, 1943. He was a resident of Bay Minette, AL most of his life. He was a pipeline inspector for United Gas.
He is survived by his daughter, Tracy Suzanne Wilson of Daphne, AL; one granddaughter, Charly Adele Wilson of Daphne, AL; two sisters, Jean (Emmett) Hall of Bay Minette, AL and Rose (Arthur) Nealy of Coushatta, LA; three brothers, Wiley Gerald (Jean) Melton of Stockton, AL, Ronald Bruce (Shirley) Melton of Stapleton, AL and Alman LaDon “Donnie” (Darlene) Thompson of Canoe, AL and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mable H. Thompson, his father, Leslie Morton Melton, Sr. and two brothers, Leslie Morton Melton, Jr. and Wallace Randall Thompson.
A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home.
