Michael E. “Mike” Bond, 67, of Topton, died on Sunday, July 24, 2016 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of E. Judy (Rothermel) Bond. They were married on May 4, 1974.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late William F. Bond, Sr., and Irma C. (Wisser) Bond, but was raised by his paternal grandparents, Paul W. Bond and Lillie M. (Reifinger) Bond, after the sudden passing of his father.

Mike was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Topton, and a 1966 graduate of Brandywine Heights High School, Topton, and Penn State University where he received an Associate's degree in Engineering. Mike was the owner and operator of Bond Consulting, Topton, for 10 years. Prior to that, he worked as a project engineer at Molly Corp., Reading for 10 years. Mike was a 47-year member of the Topton Fish and Game Association, where he served as Treasurer for the last 45 years. He was also a member of American Institute of Building Design, NRA, Pike Township Sportsmen's Association, Lyons Fire Company, and was a former member of Topton Borough Council from 1979 to 1984. Mike was an avid and dedicated supporter of the Brandywine Wresting Association and The Bullet Mat Club. He was a devoted husband, loving father of three, and proud grandfather of eight. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his wife of 42 years, Judy, Mike is survived by a Daughter, Renee S. (Bond), wife of Phillip N. Geiger, Topton, 2 Sons, Daryl M., husband of Laura A. (Lawson) Bond, Sinking Spring, and Justin P., husband of Jennifer A. (Bare) Bond, Lancaster; 8 Grandchildren, Braden, Madelyn and Gavin Geiger, Michael, Sophia and Joseph Bond, and Julia and Jaxon Bond. He is also survived by a Sister, Eileen E. (Bond), wife of Daniel L. Esterly, Myrtle Beach, SC; Sister-in-law, Jean (Goll) Bond Moyer, Topton; Half-sister, Billie (Bond) Green, Greenwood, MS; Mother-in-law, Mary L. (Berg) Luckenbill, Topton; Nephew, William F. Bond, III, M.D.; and Niece, Linda C. (Bond) Fiejdasz. Mike was predeceased by a Brother, William F. Bond, Jr., in 1989, and Father-in-law, Luther L. Luckenbill in 2015.

A memorial service to celebrate Mike’s life will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 10:30 AM in Trinity Lutheran Church, 121 South Home Avenue, Topton, with Reverend Jimmy Lee Werley and Reverend Arthur L. Hahn officiating. Inurnment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Kutztown. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 AM in the church.
