Carrie Kauffman Dies in Colburn
Delphi, Jan 10. - (Special) - Mrs. Carrie May Kauffman, 60, died at her home in Colburn yesterday afternoon at 12:15 o'clock. She was born in Tippecanoe county May 10, 1876, a daughter of Walter and Mary (McQuare) Runkle, and married Peter Kauffman. She was a member of the Coburn Lutheran church.
Surviving, besides the husband, are five daughters, Mrs. Ruth Pearson, of Michigan; Mrs. Mary Pearson, of Ockley; Mrs. John Phillips, of Delphi; Mrs. Bernice Jackson, of Ockley, and Miss Katherine Kauffman, at home; four sons, Valva, of Lafayette; Walter, of Bloomington, and Charles and John, at home; 14 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
The body was taken to the Blind funeral home here, and was returned to the residence today. Services will be held from the Coburn Lutheran church at 2 o'clock this afternoon, with burial in the Coburn cemetery.
