Born November 22, 1907 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to John Barrett Linton and Frances Mary Child. Married Lionel John Halverson, November 24, 1930 in the Salt Lake Temple.She loved her family, friends and church. She devotedly served in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as president of the Young Women, Relief Society and Stake Primary presidencies, two full time missions, and other musical and teaching positions.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marilyn Halverson Barney. She is survived by husband, Lionel John Halverson; children, Norma A. Mouritsen, John L. Halverson, Richard P. Halverson, Carol J. Garner; 27 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marjorie Lambert, Alice Potter, Edith Jackson; two brothers, Lance Linton, James Linton.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 29, 1994, 12 noon at the Garden Heights North Ward, 2270 E. Fisher Lane. Friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St. and Friday 11-11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
