Funeral services for William Brenton Zinck, Jr. who was killed in a machine accident in Schefferville, Quebec, were conducted from the Lutheran Church, New Germany, on Friday, October 19, 1962. Born in New Germany 23 years ago, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Zinck, Sr. He attended North Rosedale School and the New Germany Rural High School where he was an active member in many school activities. For the past five years, Billy had been a heavy equipment operator with the Iron Ore Company of Canada at Schefferville, Quebec. Surviving are his wife, the former Agatha Jones, of North Shore, Que.; one infant daughter, Mary Nancy, his parents; five sisters, Susan, of Halifax; Bernice with the Department of Public Helath, Yarmouth; Marilyn, Heather and Holly, at home, and two brothers, Mervin and Linwood at home. Also surviving is one grandfather, Fred Slauenwhite, of New Germany. He was predeceased by one brohter, David, who was killed in a highway accident ten years ago. The funeral service was conducted by Reverend Glenn O'Connor and he was assisted by Reverend F.W. Thirkell. The pall bearers were Elmer Jefferson, Nelson Veinot, Jimmie MacKay, Allie MacKay, Gilbert Wagner, and JOe Mader, all oclose friends of the deceased.
