ABBEVILLE - Margaret Cheek Rast, 85, of Abbeville SC, and formerly of North SC, passed away July 23, 2016 at the Abbeville Nursing Home. Funeral at the Dukes Harley Funeral Home Chapel, Orangevurg SC. Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, St. Matthews SC. Margaret was the daughter of the late Albert Callaway Cheek and Mary Josephine Norris Cheek. She worked with adult education in the Richland 2 school district, and also in the library at Rhame Elementary School. Margaret was a member of Limestone United Methodist Church. Survivors include her stepdaughters, Lynda Kaye Martin (Chuck) and Margaret Emery (Greg); step-sons, Ray Ross and Earl Ross, Jr.; sister, Margie Edenfield; granddaughter, Lauren Emery; and a number of nieces and nephews.
