Gustave Adolph Stricker was born in Franklin Co Missouri April 5, 1857 and died at the hospital in Rolla Missouri October 8 1938, having reached the age of 81 years 6 months and 3 days.

He was united in marrage to Hulda Jane Calvin, March 3, 1881 and 13 children were born to this union, 7 children preceding their father in death.

He was a member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church and lived a devoted christian life.

He is survived by his wife, 2 sons Gustave of Shirley Missouri and Elasco of St Louis Mo ; 4 daughters Mrs Pauline Lack of Sullivan Mo; Mrs Ida Shelton of Washington Mo; Mrs Lucy Barlow of St Louis Mo ; Mrs Maggie Hults of Union Mo, one daughter in law Mrs Virginia Stricker; 4 sons in laHarry Lack, G L Shelton, H C Barlow, and Luther Hults; 18 grandchildren , 10 great grand children; 2 sisters Mrs Antonia Roemer of Pacific Mo and Mrs Pauline Pickering; 1 brother William Stricker of St James Mo ; 2 half brothers Adolph and Benno Stricker; 3 half sisters Mrs Otilly Cashow, Mrs Marie Renecke, and Mrs Nelle Lee Otto; reletive and a host of friends.
