Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at St. Paul AME Church, directed by Linen-Knox Funeral Home.
Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Ford was born on September 9, 1934 in Plantersville, a daughter of Ida Alston Milton and James Milton.
She attended Howard High School and was a member of the Church of Christ in the Dunbar Community of Georgetown.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda Ford of Georgetown and Janice Ford-Gore of Petersburg, Va.; four sons, Marshall Ford of Petersburg, Va., Harrison Ford of Hartsville, S.C., Jackie Ford of Blythewood, S.C. and Michael J. Ford of Andrews, S.C.; five sisters, Mary Dennison and Rebecca Milton, both of Georgetown, Martha Logan and Brenda Milton, both of Columbia, S.C.; and one brother, Clarence Milton of New Haven, Conn.
