Obie Anderson was born in Gurden, AR on July 31, 1942 to parents Obie Darr and Vera (Fain) Anderson and entered into eternal rest on July 21, 2016 at the age of 73.
Obie was a very loving husband and he loved his children and grandchildren immensely. He enjoyed being outdoors, working in his garden and loved animals. Obie was a long haul truck driver for nearly 50 years. He attended Living for the Brand Cowboy Church in Athens. Obie was a very loving and caring man who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Obie was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Andrew and Kurtis, sisters; Ollie Mae and Linnie Faye.
He is survived by his loving wife Pamela Anderson of Kemp, daughter Felecia Lacey of Plano, son Hercschel Anderson of Denton, daughter Carolyn Rich of San Marcus, step-son David Turner and Christine of Mabank, step-son Daniel Turner of Tacoma, WA, granddaughter Katie Rich, granddaughter Jenny Lacy and fiancé Kenny Cook of Wiley, granddaughter Kathryn Turner and fiancé Matt Massengale of Athens, granddaughter Rebecca Turner of Mabank, granddaughter Amber Turner of Mabank, great-grandson Bryston Cook, other loving family members and many more friends
