Mary P. Middleton, 90, passed away on November 17, 2006 after recently being diagnosed with stomach cancer. She was born June 9, 1916 in Rexburg, Idaho to H.F.C. and Emma Pieper. She was a lifelong active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she held numerous teaching and leadership roles. She was a longtime member of the Garden Club and served as director of the Coastal Bend Genealogical Society. She also enjoyed water aerobics at the YWCA until shortly before her death.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph D. Middleton; her daughter, Linda Lea Middleton; and her granddaughter, Laura Acor Guzman.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Jo (Daryl) Acor of Provo, Utah and Vicki (Frank) Burke of Corpus Christi, Texas; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation held Monday, November 20, 2006 at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors. Funeral services held Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 6630 Wooldridge.

Interment at Rose Hill Cemetery.
