David “Dave” J. Adams, 87, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac.
He was born on April 7, 1929, in Fond du Lac, a son of Earl and Nilda Possley Adams. Dave was a graduate of Horace Mann High School, North Fond du Lac, Class of 1947.
On September 10, 1949, he married Thelma J. Buechel at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Fond du Lac.
David worked at Mercury Marine for 38 years, from 1947-1985, and later worked at Disney for 16 years. They spent 47 years in St. Cloud, Florida. He enjoyed photography, bowling, and baseball. He was a member of Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, North Fond du Lac.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma Adams; two children: Donald Adams of Orlando, Florida and Sue (Dennis) Willingham of St. Cloud, Florida; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and two daughters-in-law: Diane Adams of Gainesville, Florida and Mary Adams of Winter Park, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons: Timothy and Daniel; a daughter-in-law, Amy Adams; and two brothers: Edward and Jim Adams
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
