Marlene Edington, 72, of Knigtstown, died Dec. 2 at her home.

She was born Sept. 10,1935, a daughter of the late Roscoe and Pervie (Zimmerman) Davis.

Mrs. Edington lived in Knightstown since 1979, but had lived at Ft. Benjamin Harrison; Terre Haute; Carthage; Kaiserslautern, Germany; Colorado Springs, Colo; and Ferriday, LA. A graduate of Indiana Business College, she worked as a legal secretary at Ross McCord Ice and Miller Law Firm, and also at Mayhill Publication in Knightstown from 1979-1986. Mrs. Edington was a member of the Symposium Club, Mays Study Club, Friends of Mineralogy, the Indiana Department of Paleontology, 500 Earth Science Club, Canadian Mineralogy Society, Cleveland Museum of Natural History Micromineral Society, the Dry Dredgers Fossil Club of Cincinnati and the Mid-American Paleontology Club. She also enjoyed ceramics, mineral collecting, fossil collecting and arts and crafts.

Survivors include her husband, Dwaine H. Edington of Knightstown; two sons, Dwaine H. (Lisa) Edington Jr. of Highland Ranch, Colo, and David K. Edington of Knightstown; a daughter, Susan J. Braunschweig of Knightstown; five grandchildren, Victoria R. Edington of Highland Ranch, Colo, Anne J. and Ryan M. Braunschweig of Knightstown, Timothy D. Edington of Macon, GA and Kyle W. Edington of Knightstown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Philip R. Davis; a sister, Carolyn S. Adams.

Funeral services were at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Services in Knightstown. Burial follow at Center Christian Cemetery.
