Cory Alan East, as a Christian made his transition from this life to his heavenly reward on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 in Gallatin, Tennessee.

Cory was born on Thursday, April 4, 1985 and was a lifelong resident of Sumner County Tennessee. He graduated from Station Camp High School, and attended Volunteer State College. He was passionate about sports and especially enjoyed playing baseball and wrestling. He was the longtime manager of Buck's BBQ in Gallatin.

He is preceded in death by his loving mother Paula Jones Dean East, who passed away in 2012. He is survived by his father, Gary Alan East; spouse, Amanda Phillips; son, Jackson Paul Phillips-East, age 19 month, 10 days; son, Ayden East; sister; Chera and Shane Hooper; brother, Jason and Melissa East; grandmother, Helen Beasley Jones Dean; aunt, Pam Jones; in-laws, Keith and Mary Ellen Phillips; brother-in-law, Zachery and Laurie Phillips; nieces and nephews, Hannah Phillips; Austin Hooper, Brayden Hooper, Nathan East, Brianna East and Cayleigh East; several extended family members and friends.

Cory was dedicated to Amanda and a loving father to Jackson and Ayden. He dedicated his time to his family, and there can be no greater accolades to Cory as a man who put his family first. More importantly, he dedicated his life to Christ and was devout with his personal daily devotion. Cory strived to and succeeded in making a difference in the lives of his family and friends.

A Life Celebration was held on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Hendersonville a Funeral Home with internment (next to his mother) followed in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation were held Sunday, July 24, 2016 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., and Monday 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Hendersonville Funeral Home, 353 E. Main St. Hendersonville, TN 37075.
