Mrs. Adja Mae Blahut, 75, of Ontario, California, formerly of Borger, died Wednesday morning in Ontario after a lengthy illness.
Services will be Friday in Draper Mortuary Chapel in Ontario.
A native of Ellis County, Texas, Mrs. Blahut, formerly married to the late Dale R. Lane, Hutchinson County Sheriff from 1942-47, came with her mother, Dorothy Simpson; her brother, Leroy Arnold; and an uncle, Danny Scarborough; to Borger on April 21, 1926. She moved to California in 1947.
Survivors include her husband, A.B. Blahut of the home; one son, Jim Dale Lane of Las Vegas, Nev.; three cousins, Tom Arnold and L.C. Scarborough, both of Borger; and Charles Scarborough of Pasadena, and a nice [sic], Jeanie Stewart of Pampa.
