Luke Strickland Died In Vidalia Hospital Sunday
Luke Strickland died in a Vidalia hospital Sunday afternoon after a long illness.
He was a native of Tattnall County and a retired farmer.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Annie Merle Carr Strickland, a daughter, Mrs. Ronnie Fincher of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; two brothers, Lan Strickland of Glennville and O.W. Strickland of Savannah, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Watermelon Creek Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Marcus Rushing and the Rev. Garnett Rushing. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were M.O. Drake, Jack Terrell, Foch Brewton, Reginald Dubberly, and Dan Waters.
Rimes Mortuary of Glennville was in charge.
