Funeral services for Joyce Mayberry, age 78, of Gainesboro will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Johnny Fox officiating. Interment will follow in Byers Cemetery in Jackson County.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 19th, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Wednesday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
Ms. Mayberry passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, Tennessee following an extended illness.
She was born Monday, November 01, 1937 in Jackson County, Tennessee to the late Ewin Everett Mayberry and Martha Lou Anderson Mayberry.
Joyce worked at Foamex for several years. Most recently, she was employed at the Jackson County Sheriff's office as a cook in the jail.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, three brothers, Bobby, Willard, and Glen Mayberry, all of Jackson County.
She is survived by: one brother, Roy Mayberry, of Jackson County; two sisters, Lois Maxwell, of Baxter, and Linda Mertz, of Cookeville; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
