His brothers told me that Dick was married several times, that even they (Dan and John D) didn't know how many and their names. I have only been able to find 2 marriages.

In 2005, Dan Arnold, son of John Henry Arnold and Flora Mitchell, sent a personal letter to Lanita Sconce Smith regarding John Henry Arnold's family history. His brother, John D., had given information and facts over the years, but in this letter, Dan provided more personal details regarding his parents, siblings and self. It is in this letter that he stated that his brother Dick's ashes were scattered at Imnaka Siver near Wallawa, OR.

In 1941, Dick was a freshman at the Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy at Rolla, Phelps County, Missouri.
